HI! My name is Quinn and I am about six years young and a female. I am all black except for a white patch on my chest that covers an area as big as my heart. DFW Cocker Spaniel found me in a place called a 'shelter' and the nice ladies said that I should not be there and they would find me a safe nice place to stay and most important - people to love me and for me to love.

They took me to a doggy doctor and he treated me for heartworms and I am feeling much better now. He told me that I can't see because I probably had something called glaucoma for a long time ago, but my eyes are not causing me pain. I don't consider myself blind as I 'see' quite well with my nose and ears. I easily follow my foster Mom or Dad around just like rest of my foster brothers. I am house trained (OK... I occasionally have an accident inside) but I know where the doggie door is and can go outside and come back in all by myself! My foster mom says I am very smart, I have learned when treat time is and I wait patiently as each of us has our turn with snacks.

I love to be petted and belly rubs are the BOSS! After I get to know you, I like being picked up and held in your lapÖ if you stop petting me I will find your fingers and nibble on them to get you to keep petting me (because I am very special.) If I am lying by your feet, I am happy to play with your toes.

I love to go for walks! The leash gives me lots of confidence that you will not let me run into things so I have a happy sort of trot when we go walking. Why donít you come visit me and take me for walk?

From my Foster Mom: Quinn is such a sweet girl, you would hardly notice that she is blind! She does very well with other dogs of all sizes but I do not know about cats. She would do fine in a home with other dogs and would do best if her family was home most of the time. A dog door is recommended since she knows how to use one easily. Any home with a pool must have secure fencing around the pool and when in the pool area Quinn must be on a leash.
P.S. Quinn likes ice cream!

If you would like to meet Quinn, please complete our adoption application and put her name at the top.
