Hi, my name is Rocky and I will be 2 years old on October 4th. Normally we do not know birthdays in rescue, but I was dumped with some records and it says birthdate October 4th, 2015. My foster mom says that I am a big 2 year old PUPPY and that Rocky is a good name for me as I had a rocky start.
I weigh about 22 pounds, but people think I am much bigger probably due to my BIG personality. Because I am a puppy and no one has ever taken the time to train me I get excited a lot. My foster mom has been working with me on that and she says I am making great progress on the potty training. I love to play with my foster brothers and sisters, I love to sleep in the big bed, I lay around in my foster momís office all day while she works (well, not all day as I have to play a lot!), and I love to give kisses. I am looking for my forever home with someone who will continue to work with me because as my foster mom says I am going to make someone a great dog!
From my foster mom: Rocky is a big old teddy bear who just wants to be loved and please his family. He has been thrown out in a back yard most of his life because he gets excited and no one wanted to work with him on the potty training. Since I do work from home, I can let him out several times a day and he has been doing SO MUCH better. He is a gorgeous boy. I called him a chocolate and tan boy but he really has a lot of sable coloring in him also.
He loves to cuddle and he even let me trim his face last week without too much fuss. He likes yogurt on his food, he is on Wellness adult, he likes treats and will sit for one, but he needs some training. I would recommend just taking him to a PetSmart Basic Training class - he SOOOO wants to please you! He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, has been thoroughly checked out to make sure that he does not have a urinary or bladder issue, and is ready to go to the right adopter. Rockyís new home must be in Texas, he cannot be adopted out-of-state.
Please submit your application for Rocky so that he will have his own family soon. His new home must be in Texas, he cannot be adopted out-of-state.
