What a sweet, sweet boy. This 18 month old was an owner surrender. He still has puppy energy, but easily calms down. He wants to be a lap dog (although a little big) and always wants to be in a room with one of his human foster family members. He is great with his foster siblings, both human and canine. His foster family includes 6 year old twins and he is great with them.
Scooter has been a great guest, but his forever family needs to be prepared to do some training with him. He jumps on people out of excitement and he seems to like EVERYONE. He knows how to sit sometimes, but when excited, it's hard for him to listen. He is a super happy little guy - his tail is always wagging. He's working on his potty training. He almost always goes when he is taken outside, but he has had a few accidents inside. He has started to paw at the back door when he needs to go out. He does jump on furniture and loves to cuddle with his foster family in bed.
He does not like to be kept alone in a room (scratches at door), and isn't too much happier in his crate. Although even when unhappy, he is very quiet. He doesn't even make noise when his foster doggy brothers are going crazy at a squirrel outside. He loves his toys and needs to have something appropriate to chew. This little guy has juvenile cataracts and is scheduled for surgery on October 26th so he won't be available for adoption until early December.
