Suzie is a pretty buff & tan girl who is approximately 8-9 years old. She wandered into someoneís garage on a hot summer day in early July. The kind homeowner took care of her and tried unsuccessfully to find her owner through social media postings.
She is a calm, well mannered dog. She is completely house trained and has not had any accidents since she came to stay with her foster mom. She knows basic commands and learns very quickly. She takes her cues from the other two dogs in the house and has integrated and adapted quickly. She rides well in the car and loves to go for walks. When you put on her leash, she takes the end of the leash and heads for the door. She is not a morning dog, but once up and going, she does very well. Although she is not particularly playful she has become much more active since her arrival.
Suzie is working on her figure and weight loss program and is quickly growing back her pretty fur that had to be shaved when she was rescued. She has dry eyes which have responded very well to treatment but will need to remain on lubricating eye drops permanently. She is also hypothyroid and will need to be on medication.
Sweet Suzie would do well either in a home with other dogs or on her own. She would be a great companion to someone who wants a calm, gentle loving dog who loves to go on walks or just relax together.
