Tess is beautiful and sweet. She weighs 19 lbs and is approximately 4 years old. She is not too high energy but does like to play. She does not bark too much or chew on things she should not. She likes bones but does not seem interested in balls or stuffed animals. She sleeps through the night.
She is working on her potty training, with good days and bad days. We have left her in the bedroom for several days while we are at work with no accidents but when we tried to leave her loose in the house she had accidents. She does not beg too much but has difficulty with personal space. Sometimes she gets jealous or needy and wants to crawl all over us but other times she can be completely independent. I think she would do well in a home with one other dog.
Tess may be mixed with an Aussie, based on her looks and personality. She doesn't know any commands but does a lot of twirls, which are adorable. She has a bad habit of walking or standing in front of you causing you to trip so she might be trying to herd. I would not recommend a senior parent due to tripping hazards.
Overall she is a very good girl who is on a learning curve to being the perfect companion and family member. She needs and deserves lots of love and someone who will continue to work with her. She is likely very intelligent.
Tess will be starting heartworm treatment soon and will be ready to go to her forever home after her rest period is over.
