Lewis is a handsome buff & tan boy who is approximately 11-12 years old who was surrendered to a shelter to be euthanized, but after the shelter manager assessed him he could not justify that, so he called DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue.
Lewis is a calm, well mannered dog. He is completely house trained and has had no accidents since coming to live with his foster parents. He sleeps in his own bed at night but will sleep in a crate overnight without making a fuss. He has integrated and adapted quickly and gets along with the other two dogs in the house.
Lewis learns quickly and seems to know basic commands. He rides well in the car and likes to go for walks. He loves attention but is not demanding and will position himself so he can be near you.
Lewis would do well either in a home with other dogs or on his own. He would be a great dog for someone who wants a calm, gentle companion to go on walks with or just relax together.
If you would like to meet Lewis, please complete our adoption application and put his name at the top. Http://dfwcockerrescue.org/ under Adoptions, Adoption Information.
