About

DFWCSR is reaching out to share information about a very special dog who needs a new home – Beau Jingles Volpi, a 5-year-old miniature Poodle/Schnauzer mix.

Beau is a 12-pound neutered male who is incredibly cuddly and loves to be close to his people. He was adopted during COVID, but his current owners can no longer care for him due to medical issues. Beau is active, playful and easily trained. He even loves spending time in his crate. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been on heartworm prevention his entire life.

What You Should Know:

– Beau has some anxiety that is well-managed with medication, and with a more active home life, he may eventually be able to reduce or eliminate these medications.

– He’s been an only dog most of his life, so he can be protective of his toys and snacks around other dogs (though he’s not aggressive otherwise).

– He’s reactive to new people and loud noises, so he’d do better in a house rather than an apartment.

– He loves children and plays well with them.

– He may chase cats and small animals, but hasn’t caused any harm.

What Comes With Beau:

– 6-month supply of food, medication, and heartworm preventative.

– His crate and plenty of toys.

– All the love and training his previous family gave him.

Beau was deeply loved in his previous home, and we’re hoping to find him an equally loving family for his golden years. If you know of anyone who might be interested in giving this sweet boy a home, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

If you would like to meet Beau, please contact Alisa Volpi, DVM at volpivet@yahoo.com via email or call 972-567-4744.
