About
When resources permit, DFWCSR accepts a dog who is not a Cocker Spaniel. Billy is just such a dog. He was abandoned at a motel, then turned in to a shelter. He showed signs of neglect, was severely underweight, hungry and in need of veterinary care. He weighed barely 30 pounds when he was surrendered.
Billy is estimated to be 11 years old. He is now updated with all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and has had dental care. He has some hearing impairment, which isn’t unusual for a senior dog.
Billy is currently living in a boarding facility which has given him a chance to thrive in a structured environment where he has consistent care. His black and white merle coat is shiny and healthy and he now weighs 46 pounds, which the vet says is an ideal goal weight for him. The staff at the boarding facility say Billy is a gentle friendly dog and easy to manage.
Because of his gentle temperament and quiet demeanor, DFWCSR believes Billy would be good company for someone who would like a canine companion to share their home.
If you can provide some comfort for this deserving senior boy, please complete and submit our adoption application and put Billy’s name at the top. Application and detailed information about our adoption process can be found on our website: https://dfwcockerrescue.org/adoption-process/
