About

Meet Agnes (Aggie) – Your Future Best Friend!

Hi there! My name is Agnes, but my friends call me Aggie. I’m a 10- to 12-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of love and a tail that wags more often than not. My journey hasn’t been the easiest—my owner passed away, and now I’m looking for a forever home where I can feel safe and loved again.

I may be a little shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I’m as loyal as they come. I love to follow my foster mom around, always keeping an eye on what she’s doing. If I want attention, I have my own special way of asking—I make these soft little growling, sniffly, whining sounds (don’t worry, they’re adorable, not scary!). I’m also a talker when I get excited!

I’m a happy girl who enjoys going on walks, playing with my toys, and following my foster mom everywhere. Even though I need to lose a little weight, I’m active and always up for an adventure. I get along well with other dogs, but I’d do just as well as an only pet. I’m not sure how I feel about cats or young children. Older kids would probably be best for me since I don’t like my rear end or my feet touched—it makes me uncomfortable, and I might let out a little growl to let you know. But don’t worry, I never bite!

I’m house-trained, healthy (heartworm negative!), and full of love to give. I especially adore when my foster mom holds my face in her hands and tells me I’m pretty—it’s the best feeling in the world! I do tend to prefer women over men, but with patience and kindness, I know I can warm up to the right person.

If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and loving companion who just needs a little time to adjust, I might be the perfect match for you. Will you be my forever family?

If you would like to meet Aggie, please complete our adoption application and put her name at the top.  Our application and detailed info about our process can be found on our website: https://dfwcockerrescue.org/adoption-process/
