About

Let’s give Asher a warm welcome to DFWCSR!

This little guy was surrendered to a shelter because someone “didn’t see the point of a dog that can’t see or hear”. Asher is 9.5 years old and very thin at 19 lbs. He came in badly matted, his ears and skin neglected and covered with fleas. He was a little growly (but never snappy) when picked up, but being unable to see or hear and being in pain from mats embedded with burs and spear grass probably contributed to his discomfort. Overall, Asher was in terrible shape.

Now, Asher is in a loving foster home where he will begin his journey to good health and a much better life. He is eating well and is OK with being crated. He has a sweet disposition and his little nubby tail keeps wagging.

We will share updates on Asher’s progress as we learn more about him.

If you are interested in Asher , please complete our adoption/foster application (they’re the same) and put his name at the top.  Our application and detailed info about our process can be found on our website: https://dfwcockerrescue.org/adoption-process/

If you are already an approved adopter or foster, please contact us at dfwcsr.adoptions@gmail.com.
