Benny – Update

November 3, 2024 by

About

New update: 5/23/25

Benny is an adorable buddy.  He’s full of energy, always wants to be outside to chase squirrels up trees (yes, he can jump and occasionally can stick to a tree for a couple of seconds) and chase the occasional frog or lizard.  At home, he follows me everywhere, always sitting right in front of me, or lying near me waiting for my next move.  While he has been crate trained, I don’t own a crate and he’s been lovely sleeping on the bed but occasionally sleeping on any one of his three beds (one in office, bedroom and living room).  He doesn’t play a good game of fetch, but he does like it when I toss his toys, and he runs after them and takes them somewhere to chew on them.  He loves sleeping on the couch looking outside and waiting for me to come home.  He loves to bark at gardeners, other dogs, and the vacuum cleaner.

He loves meeting new people and gives them lots of licks and will jump up on them and sit with them on the couch.  When he’s walking, he’s on squirrel patrol and greets the occasional dog, but I do tend to keep him away from larger dogs as he initially likes them with sniffs but gets cranky after that.

Benny has been a great companion, just a love and the usual crazy cocker spaniel I’m used to.
