Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once the shelter-in-place restrictions have been lifted.
Hi everyone, I’m Cheyenne! I’m about 8 1/2 years old and just about the sweetest girl you’ll ever find. I had a rough beginning and the nice folks at DFW Cocker Rescue are helping me learn how to be the best dog I can be. I have the softest fur you’ll ever touch! I am currently staying with a nice foster family and their two Cocker rescues. I’ve never really had the chance to learn how to “dog,” so they are helping me a lot. I would like to find a family of my own. My foster mom says that I need a nice quiet place.
I’d love to have another friendly dog to hang out with, but being spoiled as an only dog sounds pretty good too! I will follow you around and stay within a few feet of you at all times! I just need to be close to my people. I love, love, love to snuggle in a lap, or by your side on the couch. I don’t make any sounds, except when my tags jingle as I walk. Speaking of walks, I’ve never really learned how to go on family walks. My foster mom is trying, but I’m very slow and don’t keep up with my foster siblings. Maybe you could push me in a wagon or stroller?
I’m not 100% potty trained and I’m learning how to do my business outside, but I need to make sure my person is with me. While inside, I wear the cutest little girl panties, just in case I forget. Night time I currently sleep in a crate, but I’d prefer to snuggle with you on your bed. I don’t jump, so you’ll have to pick me up.
This little Cheyenne baby is looking for a nice quiet home with kids that are older, or a home with empty nesters. She’s super sweet, but very unsure of the world. She’s come a long way in her first week with her foster family. We are working with her to know that people are good and snuggles are incredibly important. She isn’t interested in toys, but loves some liver treats! I am trying to teach her how to sit and to touch the bell to go outside. Please feel free to reach out to DFWCSR or to Cheyenne’s foster if you have questions.
