About

Courtesy Post for Doodle Rock Rescue: Myra

Myra has been with us since March.

That is 306 days of waiting for her person 💔

306 days of giving the best cuddles

306 days of calm walks right by her foster’s side

306 days of being someone’s loyal shadow

306 days of loving with her whole heart

Myra is a 4 year old poodle mix who thrives on connection. She wants to be close to her person, soak up affection, and remind you every single day how loved you are. She walks beautifully on leash, settles easily into a routine, and does best as the only dog in a calm, low traffic home where she does not have to share the love she has waited so patiently to give.

We are always honest and transparent. Myra has pulmonary hypertension, which is well managed with medication and routine veterinary care. She takes her meds like a champ and continues to live a happy, comfortable life. What she needs is a committed adopter who understands that love sometimes comes with responsibility and is ready to give her the consistency she deserves.

306 days is a long time for a dog like Myra. She is not asking for perfection. She is asking for a person. A couch. A routine. A forever.

If you are looking to adopt a poodle mix in Texas and want a calm, affectionate adult dog who will be your constant companion, Myra is waiting for you.
