Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once restrictions have been lifted.
Hey all, I’m Cricket! I’m a cute 7 month old Cocker/Dachshund mix and I weigh about 17 lbs. I was found after a car accident and the sweet people at DFWCSR took me in. I’ve had leg surgery and I’m learning how to use my leg again. I have a cool plate in place to keep the bones from slipping. I rested at the vet for a couple weeks, but now I’m learning how to be a house dog. Even with only 3 solid legs, there’s no slowing me down! I run and keep up with my foster siblings just fine. They’ve taught me how much fun it is to chase each other in the yard.
My foster mom says I’m just the sweetest thing. Look at my fluffy ears and my freckles!! I love people and other dogs and I would do well with kids as long as they’re over 5 years old. I love to snuggle, love to play with toys and I’m learning some manners. I know how to sit, I’m working on laying down and I’ve learned to do my business outside. I sleep in a kennel, but I would love to be close to you. Foster mom thinks I’m really really smart! I give lots of kisses and can’t get enough attention.
