Houston

December 13, 2021 by

Houston has already found a furever home.

Please visit Available for Adoption for our currently available dogs.

About

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records.  We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once restrictions have been lifted.

Houston is a 12 year-old male cocker spaniel. Even though he is an older boy, he still has plenty of love left in him for his new family.  Houston loves being around people and other animals, but he requires minimal attention.  A little rub on the head and telling him how handsome he is really gets the tail wagging.

Unlike other dogs that I have had he prefers not to be on furniture and loves to roll around in a doggy bed.  Houston has a previous rear leg injury that makes him distinguished when he walks.  One of his legs does not bend much, but that doesn’t stop him from walking, going though the pet door or climbing up and down a couple of stairs.  However, if you have a full flight of stairs that he would be required to use, then he is not the dog for your home.  Cats are not a problem and he shows them little interest.  If you are looking for a loving senior dog then look no further.
