About
Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once restrictions have been lifted.
Hello, my name is Jordie. I am a sweet, loving, 9 years young, black and brown, male, Cocker Spaniel. When I first came into my foster home I was shy and scared. The last home that I went to returned me to the shelter because they decided I was too old.
I am very affectionate. I enjoy lying on the couch and cuddling with my foster parents or being on the floor next to them when they are working. I follow my foster mom all over the house. I am crate trained and spend nights in my kennel. I enjoy going for short walks and I get very happy when my foster mom gets my leash out. She laughs at my little whimpers but I can’t help myself- I’m so happy! I love to roll in the grass and on the carpet. I am good with my foster brother and sister and I’ve been good with other dogs and people that I meet. I only bark when my foster brother and sister start barking. My hearing is good and I’ll come to you when my name is called. I enjoy going for a ride in the car too.
Because I’m an easy-going boy who doesn’t care much about playing ball, running or fetching, I would do best in a home without young children.
I will be on thyroid medication and eye drops for the rest of my life. I’ve had my hernia on my belly removed as well as the skin tag that was on my eyelid. I have more energy and pep in my step without the hernia. I am heartworm negative. I don’t have any food aggression and I take my thyroid medicine with my food. I will sit still when my drops are put in my eyes. My front paws are huge and I don’t mind when my foster mom picks stickers out of them.
I’m a sweet boy that longs to be loved and cuddled. My foster mom loves to kiss me on my nose. I love attention and as cute as I am I get a lot of it. You can see in my pictures how adorable and handsome I am. If you’re looking for a low maintenance male Cocker Spaniel, I would love for you to adopt me and give me the very best years of my life.
