Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once restrictions have been lifted.
Hello, My name is Lester! I am an 8 year old full Cocker Spaniel! I’m a beautiful solid black with just a touch of white for a goatee! Very distinguished! I’m a very big boy at 36 pounds. There is a lot of me to love. ❤️ I’m kind of goofy my foster mom says. My little tail nub goes non-stop because I’m happy all the time. I’m potty trained and I sleep in my crate. I’d love to sleep with my humans too if you will let me.
Lester is a big cocker! His paws are huge too. He loves to be with people and is fairly easy going. Because he is protective of his food, he needs to be fed away from other pets. His dishes are his only, even a water dish. He’s a bit messy when he’s drinking, so we use a towel and do a shoe-shine under his chin. ? He is really easy with his eye drops (twice daily) and he’s currently on ear drops too. Treats work well when giving those. He’s fostering with two other dogs and does OK with them, but not sure how he would be with cats.
Lester is smart and goofy at the same time. He knows sit and he stays at the door before we let him in. He absolutely loves to have his belly rubbed. He loves tennis balls and soft toys. Again, he can be a little possessive with his things and he will let you know if he doesn’t want to share.
The best thing in the world to Lester is FOOD! Anything and everything gets gobbled up. You won’t need to worry about picking up any food that falls on the floor, that’s Lester’s job. He is very food-focused!
