Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once restrictions have been lifted.
Liza Jane is a cute black Cocker Spaniel mix. She is approximately 9 years old and weighs 35-40 lbs. She’s up to date on all vaccinations and negative for HW. She has a very calm demeanor and loves to be scratched. She’s a true Velcro dog! She does very well at the dog park with all sizes and likes going on short walks since she is considered a senior.
She is very food motivated, loves her treats, and clears her bowl every time. She is also crate trained but needs a little coaxing to get her inside, so offering her treat works best.
Liza Jane also enjoys being on the couch or her dog bed. At night she gets a little anxious so she prefers her crate with a blanket over it. When she’s lonely or anxious she will let you know by letting out a little howl. She would do best in a home with a family who is home a lot because she wants constant company. A family with older children would be best advised because she can be startled easily with sudden movement or loud noises.
