About
Marigold came to us from the Dallas Animal Shelter, she was found as a stray and in terrible shape. She was severely matted and so had to have a grooming by the shelter. She had masses of feces matted to her behind, due to these parts of her hair may not grow back in some areas. We suspect she may have been somewhat confined as her back legs appear to be weaker than they should be, but she is gaining strength now with exercise.
Despite the lack of care, Marigold is just a love bug. She wants nothing but to follow you around and give you kisses when cuddling. Marigold loves, loves to go on walks so daily walks is a must for this little angel. She even loves a short play with small squeaky toys!
Marigold does not need to be crated; she is not destructive.
She is between 7-8 years old (estimated by two vets), with good care she should live a normal life span for cockers. She weighs in at 25 lbs and has a soft wavy cream-colored coat that will require brushing and regular grooming. She does currently take two eye drops; her new home should expect to continue eye drops under veterinary care instructions.
She is leash trained, house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She has medium energy- happy to hang out next to you but always ready for a walk. She does well in the car. She gets along well with her 3 foster siblings. She will ask for help to jump up on the couch to lounge with you, at her foster home she sleeps in a round cuddly bed only because foster mom and dad have three other fur kids in bed already. Marigold is a friendly, affectionate, happy, easy going girl in search of her perfect forever home.
