About

🎃 Meet Muffin!

Muffin is a petite little Cocker Spaniel who weighs a mere 19 lbs. She was born on Halloween day in 2020, so she’s just a little short of 5 years old. She was rescued from a breeder with 4 other Cocker Spaniels and brought to DFWCSR to start a new life.

This sweet little girl loves her toys, especially balls. She loves to chase them and always remembers where she left them. She follows her people around and loves to cuddle with them on the couch. She will stay in her kennel at night and when she is left alone, but she’d much rather be with you. She especially loves dinner time, and she has recently discovered her bark!

Muffin is housetrained and is learning to walk on a leash. She may rush to run ahead of everyone but she is learning to wait. Every day is a new adventure for her. So far, she has been kenneled while riding in a car, but with a little training she should be able to ride in the car with proper restraint.

This little one has missed so many experiences. Muffin needs a loving family who will be patient with her while she acclimates to new situations. She is still cautious of new people, but warms up quickly when given time. She gets along with her foster sister and has a little experience with other dogs, but we don’t know about cats. Sometimes she may be uncertain about men, so a slow introduction may be best. She has not been around small children, but she has never shown any aggression at all.

Muffin would do best with a family where someone is home most of the time. All this little lady wants is to have a family to love forever.

If you would like to meet Muffin, please complete our adoption/foster application (they’re the same) and put her name at the top. Our application and detailed info about our process can be found on our website: https://dfwcockerrescue.org/adoption-process/
