About
Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Corona) virus, in-person home visits are not possible at this time. Since this is a very important part of finding the best home for our dogs, we are not accepting any applications from first-time pet owners, applicants who have not had a pet in the past 3 years, or applicants who cannot furnish vet records. We hope you understand and that you will consider applying to adopt once the shelter-in-place restrictions have been lifted.
QuiQui (aka Khaleesi) is a 7 year old, black & white Cocker Spaniel. She’s super sweet and always ready to cuddle. She prefers plush toys over tennis balls and likes to play tug-o’-war. She is a great guardian and will alert you when anyone comes to the door. She enjoys sitting on the couch to look out the windows as cars go by. Sometimes I will find her sunbathing on the porch while keeping a close eye on the backyard squirrels.
She is friendly and good with children, but because she is an alpha dog she would do best as the only dog in the home. She is house-trained, crate-trained, sleeps in her crate and often naps often naps there for some rest during the day. She also takes all her meals in her crate so her foster siblings can finish their meals. She does not share food or treats with anyone and will fiercely guard her humans when they are eating, too.
As a very small spaniel (17 lbs), QuiQui will need an extra secure backyard with no small escape routes. Her fur is still growing back in on her front legs from having a toe removed, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She runs and jumps and plays just fine.
