About
Meet Winston!
Winston is a precious 3-4-year-old blond and white male, with the most adorable freckles on his nose and a full, natural tail. He is looking for a furever home with someone who can handle his energy and play.
Winston was found as a stray; as a result, he is slow to warm up to people. Treats and a lot of patience seem to do the trick–he is very food-motivated. Once he gets comfortable with you, he is a very sweet fellow. He likes to play–his favorite is squeaky toys. He likes to sit in places where he can keep an eye on all the activity. And he loves tummy rubs. When it’s time to go night-night (he knows that cue), he is quite ready to sleep with or near you.
Winston will do best in a home where a family member is home most of the time; he likes to have his people around! He may welcome any canine siblings but will need a slow introduction. Any children should be older than 10–he enjoyed playing with the son of the person who found him. He would love a backyard to explore and run in. And he may actually enjoy running–his finder reported that she took him on her run every morning! He hasn’t done that in a while, so may need to build up his endurance first. He definitely enjoys going for walks.
Please consider helping Winston on his way to a better life in a forever home. Since he is still living with his owner, his first move will be into a foster home so we can complete the vetting process that we provide for every dog in our program. We’d really like to make this next move his last one. Thus, the person or family who fosters him could easily become his furever home if they would like it to be.
